POLICY & PROCEDURE

The following outlines the agreed policy and procedure for our one-on-one coaching term. It outlines the obligations and commitments of the Coach and you, the Client. This document will be sent to you via email to read and sign prior to your first session.

Changes
For coaching to be successful there needs to be a certain momentum, so this agreement commits the client to the number of sessions agreed upon, over the agreed duration of the program. Sessions generally last for 1.5 – 2 hours. Occasionally, sessions may finish in under 1.5 -2 hours, and others, they may go over, if schedules allow.

If you have an emergency, we will work around it. If you must cancel a session, we will make it up, as long as you give at least 48 hours’ notice. If you miss a session without any notification or with notification after the 48-hour notice policy, there will not be any credit or refund.

Confidentiality
It is recognized that the Client may have future plans, business affairs, customer lists, financial information, job information, goals, personal information, and other private information. I will not at any time, either directly or indirectly, voluntarily use any information for my own benefit, or disclosure, or communicate this information to a third party. I will not voluntarily divulge the existence of a coaching relationship without the expressed permission of the Client.

All information about the coach/client relationship and any written notes will remain confidential, except in rare circumstances where decreed by law.

As a mandated reporter, I am required by law to report: suspected child abuse or neglect; elder and dependent adult abuse; domestic violence; reasonable suspicion of a threat of causing harm to oneself.

Privacy
As a professional coach it is my aim to constantly upgrade my credentials. This requires evidence of my coaching experience. To provide this evidence I may be requested to give a list of clients with contact details so that organizations or other interested clients can verify my coaching relationships. Nothing of what has occurred within that relationship would be divulged.

Cancellation Policy
Coaching programs require significant up-front preparation by the coach, and as a result, I must, unfortunately, impose a cancellation fee.

Single Sessions: As the session is invoiced post-session, no reimbursement is payable.

Programs of 6 sessions or greater: Should an individual coaching series be canceled by the client, reimbursement of 50% of the program fee will occur if canceled after the agreement has been signed and before Session 3, no reimbursement will occur if canceled from Session 3.

Method of Payment

Payments may be made using credit or debit cards via Stripe. Venmo, Zelle, and cash payments are also accepted. Payments are due in full prior to the coaching session. If payment fails, the Client must remedy this situation and provide a valid form of payment within 24 hours of the online coaching session.

For all credit or debit card payments: You hereby consent to have these charges automatically charged to your credit or debit card on the due date.

Disclaimer
My role as a coach is to facilitate coaching clients toward his/her own choices of action. Whether to make a particular choice or take a particular action is entirely the responsibility of the client. I accept no legal responsibility for the actions or outcomes of actions that the client may take as a result of the coaching.

Emergencies
As your coach I will provide support and assistance throughout difficult situations, but I do not specialize in emergency or crisis situations. If you or someone you love is experiencing an emergency, please call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.

If you struggle with suicidal ideation or are in the midst of other non-threatening situations, you can call 1-800-273-8255 (National Suicide Prevention Lifeline) at any time to be connected to a skilled, trained coach at a crisis center in your area, or text HOME to 741741 for free, 24/7 crisis coaching (Crisis Text Line). If you are located outside the United States, call your local emergency line immediately.

Termination

Either the Client or the Coach may terminate this agreement at any time with 2 weeks’ written notice.

If the coach needs to terminate the agreement for the reasons listed below there will be no refund issued.
The coach reserves the right to terminate the coaching contract:
If the client is not creating the time and energy to participate fully.
If the coach experiences abuse of any kind by the client.
If there is recurring canceling/rescheduling of appointments by the client.

Terms of Service
The terms of this service agreement are legally binding and subject to change.
